# How To Deactivate Hiring Manager Accounts

## You may need to remove a hiring manager who is no longer employed with their government employer. This guide will walk you through how to remove hiring managers' access to Civic Match.

To remove a hiring manager: 

1. Navigate to the [Hiring Managers tab.](https://app.civicmatch.org/dashboard/hiring-managers)
2. Search for their name. Click to Edit their profile.
3. Change their Account Status from Active to Removed.
4. Save Changes.
