Tips
- You may submit confidential roles, or roles that cannot be promoted publicly, and still utilize Civic Match tools such as candidate searches and shortlisting. This will make our team aware of your needs and how to best support you. Simply note [CONFIDENTIAL] in the job title.
- Ensure job details are concise and to-the-point, while remaining sufficiently detailed, so job seekers can easily grasp the key information.
- Select up to 6 professional skills tags. These tags should be tailored, yet inclusive, to maximize the chance of attracting highly qualified candidates to your role.
- Civic Match is typically a good fit for recruiting talent for a range of roles in policy implementation and local government leadership. Please review the jobs board for example roles and areas of specialty.
- We don’t recommend posting roles that require state-based certifications (ex: teacher, nurse), speciality technical experience not typically found at the federal level (ex: stationary engineer), or direct service delivery roles (ex: fire, police, sanitation).
Troubleshooting
I made a mistake while posting. / Some of the job details have changed. How do I make an update?
To modify a job posting, open the job details, click Edit Job, implement the desired changes, and then save. Updates can be made at any time.
I accidentally created a duplicate role. What should I do?
Our job board does not allow for a role to be deleted permanently, but you can remove the duplicate role from the job board by changing its closing date to any date in the past. This will remove the role from public view. For instructions on how to close a role, see How to Close a Role.
