Jobseeker Status Definitions

This guide will define the statuses that are used to categorize jobseeker activity on the platform.

Every Civic Match jobseeker falls into one of two categories, active or hidden. 

  • Active

    • Definition: Active user profile (activity within the past 6 months).

    • Visibility: Visible to all users, including WFA staff and customers

    • To be auto-approved, candidate profiles must meet 100% of the criteria: 

      • Full Name, Current role, LinkedIn URL, Resume uploaded, and resume parsed to verify 65%+ alignment with profile details submitted. 

  • Hidden

    • Definition: Inactive user profile, due to one of several reasons.

    • Visibility: Users are unable to be seen by hiring managers. Users will remain visible to WFA staff, regardless of subreason.

    • Hidden Reasons:

      • Onboarding

        • Definition: Candidate has began to create a profile, but it has not completed enough to be considered as submitted.

        • Most jobseekers will not stay in this phase long.

 

      • Pending Review 

        • Definition: Assigned when a profile is submitted, but the system is unable to verify eligibility.

          • Candidates who do not meet 100% of the Auto-Approval Criteria will be marked as pending. 

          • Action: WFA Data Manager reviews submission, vets and moves to Active or Disqualified status.   

      • Not Qualified

        • Definition: User submitted a profile, but does meet the eligibility criteria. 

        • Action: Candidate will receive an email informing them of their disqualification. 

      • Test Data 

        • Definition: Demo accounts in the system used for testing new features and demoing to users.

      • Deactivated

        • Definition: User removed from the platform by the user or WFA staff.

          • Reasons for deactivation: 

            • Found new job via Civic Match

            • Found new job in state or local government (not via Civic Match)

            • Found new job in private sector

            • Found new job in non-profit sector

            • Found new job in federal government

            • Found new job in tribal government

            • Found new job on campaign

            • Reinstated to my federal role

            • Deactivated after 6 months of inactivity

            • Decided to exit the labor market (e.g., caregiving, retirement, sabbatical)

 

      • Hidden by User

        • Definition: User meets the criteria for an active profile, but has elected to hide their profile from employers. 
        • User will be hidden from employers, but remain visible to WFA staff. 
        • User is able to use the platform as normal.
