Civic Match Live
Civic Match Live is a virtual career fair series hosted by Work for America to connect experienced public servants transitioning from federal roles or campaigns with opportunities in state and local government. Civic Match Live events are exclusively available for Civic Match program participants.
Civic Match Live events begin with brief employer introductions, followed by breakout rooms where you can connect directly with hiring teams. Review the employer guide—sent to all registered participants via email—beforehand and come prepared with thoughtful questions.

Tips for Success:
- ✅ Do: Ask focused questions, make a strong impression, follow up, and share your resume.
- ✅ Do: Check your email. Before each Civic Match Live event, we send registered attendees information about all the employers attending so you can prepare.
- ❌ Don’t: Ask general or easily searchable questions, or dominate the conversation in breakout rooms.

Jobseeker Q&A is an opportunity for Civic Match candidates to ask questions on all things Civic Match. Whether you’re new to the Civic Match platform or have been actively using the portal to power your job search, these sessions have something for everyone. See what's new with Civic Match and walk away with new resources and information to support you during your job search. These sessions are held on the last Thursday of every month.
